Sarah and Bill McKenzie
Our self catering units are situated in a 24-acre croft and have been in the same family since 1881 when the original thatched cottage was built. Today, the only hints of that bygone age are where the openings through the original house walls can be seen to be in excess of one metre thick and the name of one of our self catering units - 'Smiddy' which harks back to the blacksmiths trade formerly carried out here by our previous generations.
Our family business was first established in 1979 when William and Mary McKenzie opened a guesthouse and this has continued to grow and expand over the years. We have been operating the business since 2005, previously as a guesthouse and currently as a series of self catering units.
